The Nicholas Colby Fund evolving to contribute and impact people and communities in other virtuous ways:
allyship and advocates
“Giving” is fulfilling in all ways possible and in many ways that may seem improbable, in terms of the virtuous impact it can create in the hearts, minds, and reciprocal actions of others. This is true professionally, personally, and the intersection of both. For me, it’s revealed via my leadership consultancy and our foundation - The Nicholas Colby Fund (named after Nicholas Colby Gilbert).
Trusting and believing God’s omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence continually brings an abundance of love reflecting on every moment, day, week, month, and Nicholas’ six years as never-ending gifts.
Nicholas’ gifts are everlasting feelings of everything perfect and pure. They’re brilliant bursts of light that will never, ever dimmer as we remember all of his goodness. He shines and sparkles so beautifully, sensing and knowing God’s loving touch that will never leave us void of love transcending back-and-fourth to our hearts and souls!
Since 2006, the Nicholas Colby Fund has provided personalized events and experiences to children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We’ve collaborated with children’s hospitals and an array of public as well as non-profit organizations establishing a community of purpose focused on children. The impact? We’ve provided opportunities creating thousands of smiles for children and their families.
Donations No Longer Needed Because of The Nicholas Colby Fund's Evolution
As of January 1, 2022, the Nicholas Colby Fund will no longer take action to generate revenue which includes seeking, requiring, or accepting donations for our personalized events & experiences. The short reason is our evolution to allyship and advocacy that will not require funds. We will soon phase out delivering backpacks, toys, games, electronic devices, books, etc. Following is a more complete response:
I - and everyone associated with the Nicholas Colby Fund (NCF) - thank you for the "good" you have meant for children via our work.
For years children associated with UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and San Francisco, as well as Stanford Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, have been blessed by monetary and product donations made to the NCF and our overall revenue generation. Along with professional sports relationships.
Our work providing THOUSANDS of personalized events & experiences for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses since 2006, have now transitioned to allyship and advocacy. As a result, we will no longer generate revenue, seek, require, or accept donations.
Our impact will be provided in different ways. For example, the narration of some elements of a video produced by the Golden State Warriors that elevated an inspiring story of a now older patient named Troy. Here's the Emmy Award winning video:

When Nicholas heard people were saying he's a hero going through all of the medical treatments, he said, "I'm glad people see me as a hero, but can someone else do this now?" It’s time for “someone else” to do this now. We will continue to “give” and benefit children and children's hospitals in different ways...
